The benefits of swimming

swimming improves

  • the heart (cardiovascular)
  • physical capacity
  • the body’s composition (fat)
  • reduces stress
  • contributes to physical wellbeing
  • aids against coronary disease

Swimming is also helpful  because:

  • water supports the body
  • muscles work against water, not a solid making the exercise ‘soft.’
  • there is less risk to damaging ligaments
  • there is less risk to damaging joints
